Are blood Transfusions Safe? Not According to Study that says They Are!

Friday, July 31st, 2009

They are not safe according to the study that a doctor uses to say they are.

Here is what doctor I.N.U. MD, FWACS, FICS said in a post over at NoBlood.org regarding the study claiming “Moderate Exposure to Allogeneic Blood Products Is Not Associated with Reduced Long-term Survival after Surgery for Coronary Artery Disease”

How was the conclusion arrived at?

Table 1 in the article in question clearly shows a relationship between blood transfusion and mortality as follows: No transfusion 11% [mortality], 1-2 units 14%, 3-6 units 19%, >6 units 23%. The authors’ conclusion that “Moderate Exposure to Allogeneic Blood Products Is Not Associated with Reduced Long-term Survival after Surgery for Coronary Artery Disease” (in the article title) is obviously at variance with their own statistics.
This is also a study in scientific anachronism.
Nathaniel Usoro MD, FWACS, FICS

This is probably a simple doctor error. It is at variance with countless studies that say otherwise. All high level studies say that from any to the more blood you get, the higher the risk of morbidity (getting sick)and mortality (getting dead).

Being on a team that treated over 600 patients with out blood (during my time at this hospital), not one died. This even though the lowest count was Hgb 2.9.

Now we are finding that boosting intercellular glutathione (GSH) works even better that EPO or Epogen for not only boosting blood counts but improving the immune response.

Boosting GSH has been proven in a few studies to be an economical treatment for H1N1 Swine Flu as well as Bird Flu.

It pays to be an educated consumer.

As one pioneer of medical treatments and surgery with out blood transfusions once said and this study shows, the blood transfusions you refuse may save your life.

Mercury in Dental Fillings Not Risky? Think Again!

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

MSNBC Reported….
Mercury in dental fillings not risky, officials say
The U.S. government declared that silver dental fillings contain too little mercury to harm the millions of Americans who have had cavities filled with them.

MSNBC Says…
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration Permissible Exposure Limit Says

EXPOSURE LIMITS

* OSHA PEL The current Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) permissible exposure limit (PEL) for mercury vapor is 0.1 milligram per cubic meter (mg/m(3)) of air as a ceiling limit. A worker’s exposure to mercury vapor shall at no time exceed this ceiling level.

* NIOSH REL

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has established a recommended exposure limit (REL) for mercury vapor of 0.05 mg/m(3) as a TWA for up to a 10-hour workday and a 40-hour workweek. NIOSH also assigns a “Skin” notation, which indicates that the cutaneous route of exposure, including mucous membranes and eyes, contributes to overall exposure [NIOSH 1992].

* Rationale for Limits

The NIOSH limit is based on the risk of central nervous system damage, eye, skin, and respiratory tract irritation [NIOSH 1992].

Enter the machine that measures the Mercury in your mouth after you chew for 10 minutes. It will read way over the acceptable limit. The reason is that it is measuring the air in your mouth (about 1 cup) rather than the air in a room, 1 cubic meter of air.

But wait, if it is in your mouth, are not the mucous membranes the fastest route to the blood next to direct IV. So, if you are getting any exposure, it could be too much.

I can see it now.
“Hey mom, can I sprinkle a little arsenic on my meat?”
No honey, it is poisonous
Yea but this is within the safe limits of how much poison I can have according to the Federal Government.
Oh, all right. Go ahead, but do not over do it, you don’t want to get sick now.

Mercury in the Pee
What about the Urine studies. So many people, so little mercury. True, what we pee may be under safe limits threshold. But here is a question for you. How much mercury do you excrete that is stored in your body? Answer, very little, unless your trying to get it out.

So does lack of mercury in your pee mean you do not have a lot in you?

The body does not like to give it up unless your actively boosting your glutathione, one of the ways we get rid of the mercury stored in our organs.

Oh, and the pink in the sink. Turns out, that is one of the symptoms of mercury toxicity according to OSHA. Your gingivitis and bleeding gum’s may be from the mercury. At least that is one of the symptoms of mercury toxicity according the the above agency. So, the pink in the sink club may just be because of the mercury in your mouth.

What about the fact that mercury is an allergen for some. It results in sinus problems and lichenoid lesions. American Dental Association (ADA) has stated that there are…

fewer than 100 cases of mercury hypersensitivity reported in the medical literature.

Don’t take my word for it. Here, let me quote it…

Is it possible to have an allergic reaction to amalgam?

Only a very small number of people are allergic to amalgam fillings. Fewer than 100 cases have ever been reported. In these rare instances, mercury may trigger an allergic response. Symptoms of amalgam allergy are very similar to a typical skin allergy.
Often patients who are truly allergic to amalgam have a medical or family history of allergies to metals. If there is a confirmed allergy, another restorative material will be used.

No, lets not take any chances here. Check out the actual article.
ADA American Dental Association Oral Health Topics A-Z you can read it for yourself.

100 huh?

One study in the Netherlands had 60 patients.

Another Czech Study had 35 patients.

See that number and Germany raises by 19

Add another 19 from Australia

Things that make you go hmmm. If I can in a few minutes find this many, how did they come up with the only 100 in literature they claim. If they made a mistake about this, could they be wrong about other things involving scientific studies?

One study in 1995 alone found almost 100 such cases.

Now, there are numerous debates on both sides of this. Having your fillings taken out will not make everyone feel better. If however you are having problems and cannot find any other cause, then this is one thing you can take care of and rule out.

If the ADA is right, you have nothing to lose if you leave the silver in the mouth.

If the ADA is wrong, chances are you will be one of the lucky ones. You will get Alzheimer’s or some other disease of the future and you will not remember.

The irony is that amalgam replacement probably helps only in a fraction of all cases! It is still essential to remove the mercury from the organs that store it within your body.

More on the controversy.

Are Blood Transfusions Bad for Your Health?
Yes They Are!

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Are blood transfusions safe? There are a few flaws in the study below. What do you think? Here are my observations.

An interesting study was released from Australia. It looks at the potential long-term adverse effects resulting from blood transfusion. The study claims that moderate amounts of transfused blood in patients in patients undergoing cardiac surgery did not lead to long term problems or increased death rates.

1,841 patients who underwent low-risk coronary artery bypass surgery,

Dr. Weightman said,” Our results indicate that a moderate blood transfusion does not promote the spread of such cells.”

Did he mean that there was no spread of cardiac disease?

If you do not have cancer it could be safely assumed that the cancer you do not have will not spread. The studies on metastatic cancer or the spread of cancer cells are quite sound. Otherwise, why is chemo given after surgery even if all the cancer is removed?

When looking at the study, it seems as if anyone who would make the study look bad was excluded from the study.

What are your thoughts.

Be aware that I have a bias, having seen and known of numerous people who died, directly or indirectly as a result of blood transfusions. Also having been on the health care team treating over 600 patients with out blood and none of them died further adds to my bias.

What would you think of a doctor comes up to you as a nurse and says, “This 87 year old woman who did not get blood was discharged three days sooner than a 35 year old who did get a transfusion. There has to be something to this. I want to know more”

By the way, the doctor drastically reduced the amount of blood he gave. The nurses loved him, the patients got out of the hospital 1/ to three days sooner by his personal estimates.

Good health to you.

Note what Kieth has to say on this. It is an interesting post that may make you go hmmmm. Check it out.

This too is true

Alzheimer’s Disease History

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

Alzheimer’s disease history is rather interesting. Turns out, it was basically not anything new. It seems to have been around since the 16th century.

More important is the modern history. Numerous medical sites say there is nothing that can be done. Yet there are numerous studies that seem to say that boosting your glutathione can help prevent or possibly slow it down.

Click Here and once on the linked page, scroll down to check out a few postings on the disease that steals our memories. Included is an Alzheimer’s Scams you might need to be aware of.

Glutathione Side Effects: A Comprehensive List

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

Here is something new. A list of glutathione side effects. This is perhaps the most comprehensive list of side effects of boosting your glutathione that can be found in any one place on the web.

The underlying benefits of boosting your glutathione do have some potential risks for some. If your going to be an educated consumer, you need to know the good, the bad and the ugly.

Glutathione boosting supplements will not cure everything. It is not like, if you take them you will be preserved alive even if you die. They will not help you live forever.

However, if you have not been able to get relief from traditional health care, find out what many have, this just works. So far, scientific literature says it works for 68 diseases or conditions.

Good health to you.

Can Your Doctor Fix This?

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

I love talking about health, health care and natural treatments.

When hearing about ulterior or underlying reasons for health problems and solutions, sometimes people will say they want to run it by their doctor. I think that is good. However they often say this as a way of saying they are not interested in taking charge of their health. They want their doctor to be in charge.

This is not meant to bash doctors. I have mostly worked with some of the best in the world. Incredible men and women in numerous fields of medicine. When I grow up, it is my hope to be even a little like them.

Even so, very few doctors are experienced in complimentary alternative medicine or CAM.

So, this got me to wondering, will those folks who have to run things by their doctor make an appointment to go and actually ask their doctor. Will they sit in the office for a few hours to get the answer. Even pay the office co-pay. I think not.

Perhaps they will run it by their doctor the next time they are in to see him. Here is something else you can ask him about.

Ask him if he has any idea of how anyone can fix the out of control health care system? Is there a cure. Are physicians applying the counsel to heal thy self or the system they are a part of.

You see, catastrophic illness is out of control. Both in the elderly and the very young.

I keep hearing of…

Heart disease

Type 2 Diabetes

Cancer

Crohn’s disease…

…and others serious diseases in our teen populations.

It is no secret that the US spends more on health care than anyone else at about $6000 per person. The United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and France are close behind spending to $2,000 to $3,000 per person and it is going up.

We keep hearing that close to 50 million Americans do not have health insurance because it is just too expensive.

To be fair, one break down of the numbers deducts college students, those in prison, those covered by medicaid and those not American citizens as totaling 44 million.

The real number by some estimates is 4 to 6 million. (Hmmm, where will the trillions of dollars go?)

Ok, Mark Twain had it right when he said there are three kinds of liars. Liars, (Darn) liars, and statisticians.

Even so, it has been reported that $1500 of a new car price difference of a US car over a Japanese produced car is for health care.

Lets say your in good health, self employed and have a 10,000 dollar deductible per person per year. It can still cost close to $400 per month.

Unlike a car payment that eventually goes away, this keeps getting ever higher.

If health care is nationalized, we will pay more in taxes. We would not want the pharmaceutical stake holders going second or third homeless even losing an island or two. This though some can barely keep their first home.

There is another problem in addition to providing health care from teens to old age with diseases that used to afflict the older ones of our population. That is we are living much older. 75 is fast becoming the new 65.

One patient I assessed was 100 and seemingly in great health for her age. I can not remember but it seems she even knew who the president was as part of my assessment.

There are only two solutions. Government subsidized health care is not one of them.

One solution that will allow us to beat the system is to take control of our health. This may be a bitter pill. Eating right, exercising, eliminating junk foods and supplementing our diets with foods or nutrients to prevent disease and conditions.

There are simple steps we can take. We need not invest in 600 to 700 dollars of vitamins per month to accomplish this either. A few basic ones, different ones depending on the disease process. Mostly, trying to avoid what is bad.

Of course, boosting the glutathione is high on my list. It is not the only one though. Spices like cinnamon and herbs like garlic are also very important too (by the way, they also boost your GSH too) as they do numerous good things for life.

Fresh clean water is important. Berries and cherries when they are in season.

Even a daily mile walk or what ever you will do are all are important parts of a healthy life.

Good health to you.

Treatment for HIV: Could It Be This Simple?

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Could a treatment for HIV be so simple as what this article below says? Science says yes. Actually the first scientific article proposing this came out over 10 years ago. One of the authors researching this very thing even won a Nobel Prize.

What Is The Best Treatment For HIV ? is the name of the piece.

It is on immune-health-solutions-for-you.com

Check it out for yourself. You will find it to be another great site on the benefits of boosting our glutathione.

In particular, the piece on the Treatment for Aids you should note. It is well written, covering…

The medical treatment of HIV

Nutracutical treatment for HIV which is listed in the Physicians Desk Reference.

What does HIV stand for

What are the causes of HIV

What are the Symptoms of HIV

They even have some good links with more information.

If you or someone you know is infected with HIV, please visit this information. If you just want more information, you will find this informative and easy to understand even though it uses evidenced based medical articles.

Of course it also tells you how to boost your glutathione with in-denatured whey protein which is considered the scientifically superior way to accomplish this immune boosting power of the human body.

Good Health to you and yours.

Foods to Avoid High Cholestrerol: A Comprehensive Consideration

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

The foods to avoid high cholesterol list is only part of the picture. Studies show that cholesterol levels provide only part of the heart disease risk. The Apo B-A1 ratio is thought to be more important.

Anyway, you can find a comprehensive list at www.GlutathoineDiseaseCure.com

There are a few things missing. I am awaiting gathering research before posting them. Once done, they will also be posted.

As the school year nears, this could make for an interesting informative speech topic.

Good Health to you.

Cinnamon and Cholesterol

Friday, July 17th, 2009

Some studies say cinnamon helps lower cholesterol. Others say it doesn’t.

Many who use it find it dose. There is a potential danger with taking too much as one woman found out.

The health benefits do not stop with just lowering cholesterol. There is a laundry list of things it helps with. One of the studies was done by the USDA.
