There are many things we can do to protect our loved ones, like staying home when we are sick, washing our hands frequently, and not touching our face, eyes, nose or mouth. This is all easier said than done, but are all part of common sense during a pandemic, and these things on their own would drastically reduce the transmission rate of any virus, but especially during a pandemic with H1N1. Simple sanitation is very powerful, but lacking in many areas of the world today, leading to widespread transmission of disease.

Last I checked at the WHO, there have been about 6,000 deaths from swine flu worldwide. In the US, they are finding that those who die also have underlying conditions like asthma or obesity. The seasonal flu is far more deadly. There's so much fear on both sides. It's almost unbelievable how virulent this fear has become.

Do what you can to protect yourself, your loved ones, by following reasonable precautions, and boost your immune system naturally with proven supplements. Take care of your health year round, not just when a pandemic is raging.

Apart from that, to buy peace of mind, prepare a swine flu survival kit to have on hand if you get the flu and have to stay home. That's what we have done, and we haven't gotten sick, but if we do, we will be prepared!

Good health to you!
