Twinkies: 7 Year Shelf Life? Not!

Monday, August 30th, 2010

I have previously proposed that since Twinkies have a 7 year shelf life, it may be possible to eat enough of them (you are what you eat) and be preserved alive even though you die.

Well, I was wrong. Turns out that they only have a shelf life of 25 days.

That is not the interesting thing.

What is interesting is that they are not baked.

The heavenly sponge cake is the result of a chemical reaction.

The white filling is pure lard with sugar added and then whipped. What can compare to the great taste of pure lard, sweetened with sugar.

So, my new theory is that you could begin the embalming process before you die and save your family thousands of dollars.

Or, if my theory is wrong, my alternative theory, you can become squeezably soft by eating Twinkies.

Good health to you and yours.

Vit D, Cancer, Autoimmune Disease, and Glutathione

Friday, August 27th, 2010

In Reuters there was a report of Vitamin D being linked to cancer and autoimmune disease genes.

The article reported that scientist found that vitamin D influenced over 200 genes.

Of course there is a correlation between low vitamin D levels and various diseases. Vitamin D is in reality a steroid that is produced when our skin is exposed to sunlight.

What if vitamin D is only part of the picture?

As it is, vitamin D is a precursor and possibly a potentiator of glutathione. Whether it works on its own or with glutathione, the underlying fact is that glutathione is associated with helping 69 different diseases or conditions.

Most likely, we need a balance of various vitamins and exposure to fresh air and sunshine.

This is only one of the pieces of the puzzle we call good health.

A Plan to Stop Blog Posting Spam

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

This is about the underlying health of the internet.

It is a Plan to Stop Blog Spam

Do you get spam comments on your blog? Would you like to see them come to an end? Are you tired of doing things right and watching others benefit from cheating?

I have an idea. What are your thoughts? Please weigh in at the end.

My favorite to hate are the comments to my art only where some comment that they like the way I write. This is just plain wrong.
Incidentally, if almost anyone followed the directions and only posted a one word comment to UlteriorArt.com I would gladly give a live contextual link. Yep, what the spammers actually want, a link, they could have by just posting a one word comment.

There is something to do but it is entirely up to you.

First let me tell you a story that may help you want to.

My neighborhood is going down hill. Many of my neighbors have lost their passion to keep their yards nice. They no longer fertilize their grass. They do not even clean up the trash that may end up on the street.

The down turn is rather unusual because we live in a bedroom community. Many of the neighbors have lived in their homes for over 20 years.

So, I took it upon myself to clean the trash (usually something dropped by the trash man) in front of my neighbors homes as well as my own home. Doing so, something amazing happened.

The amazing thing, I found money. Not just a dollar. Not just a few dollars. I found a $10 bill, a $20 bill and once several ones all at once. How come nobody else saw them?

The green in the money became invisible in the grass and mud. The other side of the street has no sidewalk. So, where the grass stops the road starts. At times during the year, there is a strip of mud.

More importantly, the reason they were not seen is because the neighbors stopped caring. Since they did not care about the trash, they did not see the money that they probably dropped there.

Oh yea, the money had to be laundered. Literally.

The lesson, it pays to clean up trash. More importantly, it pays to care.

Oh, there were other things of value found too. One package obviously belonged to one of the neighbors so I returned it to them.

What does this have to do with the web and spam comments?

The web is our neighborhood. We can let it go or we can help keep it clean. We can care about how our neighborhood looks. At Assist2web.com you will only find white hat ways to build a website and web traffic.

Cleaning up the spam comments will eventually mean more traffic for you.

With almost 129K new websites coming on line daily in 2009, there is an ever ending stream of competition for your viewers. As new ways to scam the system appear, new rules appear. This number does not even count blogs.

So to put an end to spam comments, there will need to be a new rule.

How do you get a new rule?

This is where taking the initiative to clean up the trash can pay off.

When you get a spam comment to your blog, rather than just clicking the spam button that sends it to the trash, do something else. Clean up the trash.

So, if the spam comment links to an Ezine Article, write a very brief note (repeat: very brief) with the vital info on the comment and who it was from.

The email addresses are probably bogus so there is no need to include it in your note. It might be a good idea not to send them anyway because you agreed to keep the email private, even if it is bogus.

If you should check out the odd website, do a quick check and see if there is real contact info, if there is a privacy policy and so forth. If in any way it violates the Google Terms of Service, let Google know.

To do this, simply click on the word Google in the lower right hand corner of the Google Ad. This will take you to the Google page. Near the bottom is a place where you can post your complaint or concerns.

Remember, many site owners are being taken by this new spam scam. The only way to stop it, start cleaning up the trash.

Oh yea, it is already working.

As of this posting, some of the spam comments links were dead. The hosts had suspended the spammers accounts.

Let me know what you think.

Dengue Fever

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

A dear friend told us that she had been infected with Dengue Fever.

There are four types and it can be lethal. Unfortunately, the clinic where she went said she did not have it. As her symptoms progressively got worse, she became more relentless in finding out what the problem was.

The result, she found out that she did have Dengue and she got her health back.

An underlying way to treat viral infections is found on PubMed. Simply boosting your intercellular glutathione can help.

A second way to help, again, in an emergency until you can get appropriate medical care is something the locals do from where this happened. They all take an Alkaseltzer. Chances are you have a different form of this pop pop fizz fizz stuff in your cupboard. It is called baking soda.

Here is the thing…if you take it as you feel the illness coming on, it can help. If you are full blown sick, do not use it unless you get directions from a doctor who is familiar with your symptoms.

This is only to buy you time until you can get appropriate care, should you be in a foreign country and not able to get home.

Good Health to you and yours.

Support Cancer Growth: Consume Foods With Corn Syrup

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

Here you will find the study on Corn Syrup and Pancreatic cancer proliferation.

Also, a solution as to how to avoid high fructose corn syrup.

This is a topic I has long been a part of my hospital based patient education.

If you want to help your cancer grow, consume foods with high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), a corn-based sweetener.

HFCS makes up about 40 percent of the sweeteners added to foods and beverages. In the US soft drinks, it is the sweeter of choice.

Our stomach enzymes for the most part, only digest right handed sugars. Note that proteins all have to be left handed.

Where does HFCS fit in. Well, since it is blended, it is both. So imagine putting a right handed glove on and then a left handed glove on the same hand.

Yea, it causes some problems. In the body, this can cause some interesting problems like the one we are reporting on here.

One problem it causes is that it helps cancer grow.

Check out this study from UCLA

At Glutathione Disease Cure you will find a section that looks at cancer and the GSH benefits in treating cancer.

The Solution: How to Avoid HFCS

I have recently discovered a solution.

My teaching holds to a belief in treating with complimentary alternative medicine. Visit any of my former hospital employers and you will see doctors doing all kinds of weird treatments.

Treatments like black strap molasses and peanut butter for anemia. Gum chewing for preventing post operation complications of the gut. Even teaching prostate cancer patients to eat two Brazil nuts a day.

However, meeting the needs and the constantly changing landscape of things that interfere with the absorption of certain supplements and knowing which are the right supplements to take has caused me to take pause.

It is cost prohibitive to take all the supplements we supposedly need to maintain life. If we are treating a disease or condition, that is another matter.

It is also time prohibitive to help anyone with out knowing their entire history. The doctors who I send my visitors to often complain that they are forced to treat symptoms and not the whole person.

When people seek help, they look at me like I have two heads when I tell them all the things they should avoid.

It is actually not that many things. Just fluoride, MSG, antibiotics in cows milk, Posilac in dairy products, all artificial sweeteners, HFCS, and any food packaged in some plastics and chemical exposure to the skin such as from Sham Poo.

Rather than telling people what to avoid, I am taking a new route to education. I am going to start teaching what to do.

Simply, start eating, drinking and living as all natural and as alive as you can. So, only live foods (uncooked or raw fruits, vegetables and grains), only natural soaps and detergents and only filtered water. These of course, as best as you can.

If you were only able to accomplish this to 75% of your intake or exposure, the body can take care of the rest.

The cost of this solution? Certainly less than supplements. Slightly more than what you pay for food currently. The enjoyment of life you will end up with, priceless.

So far, there is no MSG added to carrots that come out of the ground, There is no fluoride in spinach. You are not likely to find Mercury in many naturally grown foods although a study found it in half of the HFCS. And there will be no MSG in your raw salad makings.

Eat raw and you are half way to good health.

Good Health to you and yours.

Onions Protect From the Flu: Not!

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

A friend recently sent me an article that indicated that onions protected farmers from the flu many years ago.

Attached to that article was another article that indicated that onions spoil easily and can be the cause of food poisoning.

The first is false. The second is partially false.

The fact is that slices of onions sitting in the middle of a room do not protect us from the flu, unless you eat them and you sit in the middle of the room.

This is true for various reasons, the biggest of which is that nobody will want to come near you if you eat a whole onion. People who could be carrying the flu will avoid you.

The fact is, supplementation with NAC and vitamin D have been found to help prevent the flu…In Scientific Studies.

Go to The Swine Flu Section of GlutathioneDiseaseCure.com to learn more about these studies.

More on the onion and mayo urban legends….

The Onion Wives Tale is not true.

The onion spoilage one is partially true.

The biggest danger is potatoes that get black from being at room temperature and in the air. They can make you really sick.

Second, mayo that is home made does have a risk of causing illness, even if it is refrigerated.

All foods that are left in the open air and at room temperature can spoil or eventually cause health problems.

Generally speaking, science seems to favor the idea that a tuna sandwich can survive from your making it in the morning till your eating it at lunch, even if it is not refrigerated.

Food providers are not allowed the same latitude that we use in our own food production.

Good Health to you and yours.
