Shocking Discovery: Free or Almost No Cost Joint Pain Relief

Sunday, October 30th, 2011

I got spammed with an ad a while back…it said….Shocking Discovery for Joint Pain Relief

It got me to thinking…what if this was an ad for the free, easy and holistic pain relief methods my patients have found works to relieve their pain. What if it was a promotion for the free to almost cheap ways to eliminate pain that are available. Naaa, there would be no profit in it.

I rewrote the ad, changing some of the wording and adding my own commentary about the fallacy of what they were saying.

Free and Cheap Effective Ways to Eliminate Joint Pain

The ad went on to say…

Millions suffer with joint health challenges. Every movement of our body puts pressure on our joints. Over time this use becomes wear and tear that can lead to discomfort, inflammation, and occasionally, more serious issues.

Our joints age over time (yes, how shocking) and like the rest of your body, they require comfort and support. (By the way, did you know that there is going to be a Superman 27, The Movie? With Superman nearing the age of 90, he will have corrective cape and orthopedic leotards.)

For many years, there have been only a few options for those with joint discomfort.

Those with low to moderate joint discomfort have had access to low-end supplements (wait, don’t you, the advertiser also sell the low end supplements?) such as Glucosamine and Chondroitin. But these fail to provide the relief and support that many desire (although previously we told you they were the next best thing since sliced bread).

In the real world, you should know that they work great for some and not others. The Orthopedic Doc I used to work for suggested them for me and they worked great. Look ma, no pain and no surgery.

However, a breakthrough discovery is changing everything. (Yes, what if there was a better way, pray tell?)

Researchers in Cambridge, MA have discovered a new compound of all-natural ingredients that potentially can relieve joint pain, improve mobility, and in may for some, protect the actual joints themselves (just like they said about Glucosamine and Chondroitin when it came out, imagine that). The new proprietary (read: expensive since we own the patent) formula, branded under the trademark (Trade Name Deleted although the insider name is Joint-pain Elimination and Relief Kairos or JERK.)

This Supper Secret Support has ingredients with clinical trials anecdotal evidence from thousands of testimonials that indicate it is nothing short of amazing (not a scientific term, their words, not ours).

The spam went on to say…

This stuff will:

  • Relieve and Comfort Joints
  • Reduce Inflammation
  • Reduce Stiffness
  • Lubricate the Joints
  • Healthy fluid movement
  • Protect and Enhance Mobility

It went on with some self serving promotional copy to get you to try it.

What If There Was a Better and Cheaper Way?

What if there was a better way to…

Unlike most joint relievers (that are expensive, ineffective and have side effects) , this will get the results almost immediately.

Not only relieve joint pain, but you will have fewer painful flare-ups by the end of the week.

Feel better by the second week of trying our treatment and you will have increased flexibility, mobility, and even if you have severe joint discomfort, you may start feeling impressive relief.

What if our Joint Pain Relief provided help for almost anyone looking to relieve their joint pain and support long lasting joint health. This formula is available from your nearest ocean or health food store.

What is the secret joint pain reliever we are talking about?

There is one product, several options.

What is the pain relief formula was so affordable, even if it did not work, you would not be out anything?

Misery Back Guarantee

Yes, we are so sure this will work for so many that we are offering a 100% misery back guarantee if it does not work for you. It is not for everyone and will not work on everyone. If it does not work for you, below are listed other very inexpensive options we suggest.

Simply, it is unrefined sea salt. Salt helps your joints maintain proper hydration. It is that simple, that cheap.

One, the simplest is putting 1/8 teaspoon of sea salt on your tongue, dissolving it and then drinking 10 to 16 ounces of water. Do this in the AM and at night

The second is eating a raw red beet. Think carrots that bleed on your fingers. Like many treatments, this does not work for everyone. But, at about $4 per month, it is cheap to try and has no side effects, other than helping you become more healthy.

The third way can actually be accomplished a couple of ways.

NAC is also a way to boost your glutathione and eliminate joint pain and improve health in numerous ways.

Bioactive Whey Protein Isolate is the best way to boost your glutathione and eliminate joint pain.

The fourth and best way to eliminate joint pain is to boost your intercellular glutathione with the raw food diet and eliminate toxins. Eat about 50 percent or more of your diet as raw foods, eliminate everything white (no sugar or starch) and drink water with the salt dissolved on your tongue.

These are from the cheapest to the most expensive. Rather than just treating one thing, these help your overall health and wellness.

Good Health to you and yours.

ITP Blood Disease

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Here is a comprehensive overview of ITP Blood Disease and the current knowledge.

There are numerous factors that can bring it on.

One theory relates to the toxins we bombard our body with. Although there are few studies that specifically look at ITP, glutathione and cysteine, there is considerable evidence that ITP causes oxadative stress. Numerous studies show that boosting glutathione is an effective way to detoxify. Could this help? Something to think about.

Learn how you can boost your glutathione with simple dietary considerations.

Cholesterol Levels: 40% Accuracy in Predicting Risk
A Better Predicter: Apo B / A-1 Ratio

Friday, July 10th, 2009

Do you know what you don’t know? You probably do not know that cholesterol only predicts heart risk 40% of the time. There is a better way. The Apo b / A-1 ratio is a better predictor. Recent Danish studies further identify the Lp (a) as being associated with heart disease risk.

Further, there is a glutathione boosting alternative to statins that is safer and more effective with out the side effects of statins.

Take the information ride and learn more about the underlying cause and where to find an underlying safe and effective treatment. Read on….

Old Cholesterol Thinking

We all know that the desirable total cholesterol is Less than 200

We know that LDL or the Bad Cholesterol should be under 130

We know that HDL or good Cholesterol should be over 60

What you may not know is that the understanding of these numbers has changed.

The Apo B/A-1 Ratio

What is more important is the B/A-1 Ratio.

What is Apo B/A-1 A? It is a ratio. The ratio is of a smaller part of the cholesterol. One that, if your doctor does not practice evidence based medicine, he/ she will not know about.

It is considered the superior way to measure risk.

Forget everything you thought you knew about LDL and HDL. A 2006 Study: The apo B/A-I Ratio — A Stronger Predictor of Cardiovascular Events Than LDL, HDL, or Total Cholesterol, Triglycerides, or Lipid Ratios changes everything.

Wait, this has been out since 2006? How come we did not hear about this till now? There is some debate on the topic.

Here are some questions to ask.

How can two people with the same cholesterol values have one who gets atherosclerosis and the other does not? How can athletes in better shape than us die of heart attacks?

Most importantly, if there were a better way to manage cholesterol, would you be interested?

The answer lies in managing the Apo B A-1 ratio.

Individuals with seemingly acceptable LDL cholesterol levels may in fact have high apo B values, revealing the presence of many small, dense LDL particles, thus indicating substantial risk.

Now factor in the Lipoprotein(a) also known as Lp(a), a lipoprotein subclass. Studies have identified Lp(a) as a putative risk factor for atherosclerotic diseases such as coronary heart disease and stroke.

According to a Danish study, high Lp(a) in blood is a risk factor for coronary heart disease (CHD), cerebrovascular disease (CVD), atherosclerosis, blood clots (thrombosis), and stroke.

Lp-a concentrations may be affected by disease states. Here is the important part. It is only slightly affected by diet, exercise, and other environmental factors. The same is true of Lp(b).

Statins, the common prescribed lipid-reducing drugs have little or no effect on Lp(a) or Lp(b) except to increase their ratio. The B vitamin Niacin (nicotinic acid), aspirin, NAC and Cysteine are known to significantly reduce the levels of Lp(a) in some individuals with high Lp(a).

But wait, it gets worse. If our LDL is high and we do not have a lot of Apo B, then by taking a cholesterol lowering drug, we can potentially raise the Apo B / A-1 Ratio and increasing the risk.

If the doc says you need to start a Statin or cholesterol lowering drug, the question to ask, “Have you done the VAP test?”

The old cholesterol measurement and ratios are only 40% accurate according to literature.

But….

There are three more things you need to know.

One, there is an even better way to fight cholesterol. One with out the side effects of statins, one of the most debilitating being amnesia / loss of memory.

Research has found that cysteines are the safest, most effective nutrient known to lower Lp(a) levels. One form of cysteine reduces Lp(a) by almost 70%.

In the interest of disclosure, you should know that I am a distributor of two such cysteine products.

The second: What is the risk benefit ratio for those taking Statins who are over 65. This will be in another post. However, I can tell you that the benefit according to one study is NO benefit. Oh it will lower your cholesterol. But the benefit of decreasing cardiac risk is not there.

Do not stop taking your medicine just because your reading this. However, if it touches a nerve, you need to be proactive in your health care. You need to become an educated consumer.

Third: cholesterol and in particular the ones we are discussing here are associated with middle age memory loss and risk of Alzheimer’s in old age. What would it be worth to prevent your memories from being stolen in your old age?

Using cysteine to boost your intercellular glutathione may help in other ways. Talk with your doctor. If he is not knowledgeable on complimentary alternative medicine, find a doctor who is.

Incidentally, the cysteine products I use are mainstream medicine. One is medicare approved. Both can be found in the Physicians Desk Reference.

There is a section on GlutathioneDiseaseCure.com looking at this topic. It is a work in progress so please come back. Your patience is appreciated.

One more thing…2 carrots a day. Yes, eating just 2 carrots a day can help improve the numbers. To get the best benefit, only eat your 2 carrots three days in a row and two days do not have any carrots.

It has long been known that boosting your Glutathione helps maintain your cholesterol at safe levels. Now it is known that it helps keep the bad cholesterol and parts there of at bay as well.

Sex and Glutathione

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

From start to babies, glutathione can benefit every aspect of sexual and conceptual (conceiving) health.

Numerous scientific studies show a connection. Now even watermelon has been shown to have benefits. The study did not mention that watermelon is also a great source of cysteine.

It is the cysteine that is associated with boosting glutathione that the clinical trials show benefits the many disease processes and conditions.

Check it the posting on ED and Watermelon

Cheers.

Sickle Cell Anemia Treatment Option

Saturday, February 21st, 2009

Sickle cell anemia has a number of standard treatments.

A 1998 study should give pause about both current treatment and treatment options.

The study found in Blood showed that boosting glutathione resulted in a significant conversion of irreversibly sickled cells back into biconcave shape.

This means that boosting glutathione could help. More importantly, drugs that deplete glutathione could actually make the condition worse. This means that acetaminophen should be reconsidered as a means of pain relief.

A side effect of boosting glutathione is also pain relief.

Maybe this should be looked into more deeply.

Would you like to learn more about the Glutathione Sickle Cell Anemia Treatment?

Cysteine may be a viable option for blood transfusion avoidance and management of sickle cell anemia.

Cataracts Symptoms Treatment Option: Cysteine or NAC

Monday, January 19th, 2009

Cataracts eye disease is a clouding of the lens of the eye. Considered a disease of aging, the underlying or ulterior symptom is a decrease in glutathione.

It stands to reason then that boosting your glutathione could help. Numerous people trying this say it does. The studies seem to support this claim. However, this is one you absolutely need to work with your doctor on. The option is boosting your glutathione either with NAC or cysteine.

Learn more about the cataract eye disease and natural cure for cataracts.

Boosting your glutathione may be a viable cataract management tool.

Depression: The Cystein Option

Saturday, January 17th, 2009

Two ways to fight depression.

Avoid (or try to avoid) taking in any toxins. This includes chemicals and thoughts that can feed depression.
Proactively try to detoxify our bodies, both with dietary supplements, foods, conversation and education.

There is an option to drugs brought to you right from the drug manufacturers. You see, drug manufacturers do studies to prove that their drugs work. What this means is that if the drug version works, the natural version, the one with out any side effects or reasons not to take it will work better.

In this case however, the drug version is rather safe too.

Either way, this is a wonderful option for those who are fighting depression and do not want the side effects of traditional medications for depression.

Do You Remember to Eat?

Friday, June 20th, 2008

Reduce stress! Improve memory! Eat to Remember!

Of course we are what we eat. This is why a balanced diet is essential. A lesser known fact is that what we eat is what we think.

Let me explain.

If we eat healthy in terms of what our brain needs, we think better and manage stress better. Eat junk and our stress can make us a mess.

How it works…

The neurotransmitters inside our brains (the brain juice) are the masters of the moods.

Dopamine Does the Do Thing, it invigorates, excites and makes us feel anew.

Serotonin causes a slowin’ or calming of our emotin’.

Melatonin, asleep it will help you to get a-go-in’.

To remember endless lines of nursing school information in less time we riddled our mind with rhyme.

These are best absorbed when found in food.

Melatonin is an excellent example. If you take it in a pill to sleep, in time your body will adjust and it will not be effective. However taking it in food, such as Montmorency Cherry Concentrate does not seem to result in tolerance. At least it worked for me.

The goal is to maintain the balance of our brain juice and avoid brain drain.

This happens when we eat a complete and balanced diet and avoid toxins. Sorry Atkins lovers, the diet may help you lose weight but you my just be losing your mind too.

Bottom Line…don’t skip meals. Eat a healthy balanced diet.

The best serotonin foods: fish (rich in omega-3 fatty acids /avoid farm grown fish). Salmon is good, sardines are great as they also provide calcium.

Cruciferous vegetables, but they are best uncooked.

The goitrogens paradox. Goitrogens are the substances that suppress the thyroid gland function, interfering with iodine uptake, possibly resulting in an enlargement of the thyroid (called a goiter). This seems to only happen when overeating them. Hmmm, balanced is better!

In this case balance includes eating foods that stimulate the thyroid.

Why uncooked? Glutathione (GSH) producing cysteine is the number one anticancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, well, there are about 27 things GSH does. Cook it and you lose it because it is so fragile.

This one bears mentioning…Some studies on rats suggest that excess caffeine and a lack of iodine may promote thyroid cancers.

Cancer Sci. 94 (4): 334–7. PMID 12824900. So if you choose not to take care of your own health, please, please, do not give your lab rats excessive amounts of coffee with a high intake of goitrogens. At least feed them a balanced diet.

Both vitamin C and serotonin are essential for preventing irritability and work for stress management. Do you know which foods have both? A study reported in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition ( http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2413754 )
found that 80 types of fruits had high serotonin concentration. Some were ( highest concentration to lowest) plantain; pineapple; banana; Kiwi fruit; plums; and tomatoes.

Also only nuts in the walnut or hickory family had a high serotonin concentration. butternuts 398; black walnuts 304; English walnuts 87; shagbark hickory nuts 143; pecans 29.

Want a snack, eat a fruit. Need a boost, eat a fruit. The underlying health is in the balance of what you eat, do and think. This is only one piece of the puzzle.

Good Health to You.
