The finding of a double blind study of 100 kids 4-8 years old published in Lancet, it was found that 63 percent of kids diagnosed with ADHD had the disorder because of the foods they eat.

It was not the foods as much as what was in the foods that caused the problems. Children are thought to be sensitive to both additives and the pesticides that end up in some foods.

These include…

artificial flavors

added preservatives

Salicylates (a pesticide added to some food plants)

sulfites

artificial sweeteners

MSG

and many more.

If this is the result of basic dietary improvements, what would happen if the raw food diet was introduced? What would happen if proper hydration of the body was practiced?

This offers further reasons to start kids on a raw food diet. The underlying cause of many diseases could be simply what we feed our kids.

They need a diet rich in organic plant based fruits, nuts, beans and vegetables.

If MSG is so safe, then why are there so many glutamate blocking drugs on the market?

Research all points to an excess of glutamate in the brain as being part of the problem or associated with many neurological diseases.

In excess, MSG is a neuro-excytotoxin.

Note that glutamate is referred to as an excitotoxin when it causes cellular damage.

Here is a list of diseases or conditions for which glutamate blocking drugs are being used or investigated.

Huntington’s disease
Alzheimer’s disease
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
Parkinson’s Disease (PD)
Epilepsy (seizures)

Here is a list of drugs with a glutamate-blocking potential.

Remacemide: An anti-glutamate drug and energy buffer

Memantine: An anti-glutamate drug

Riluzole: An anti-glutamate drug and energy buffer.

Lamotrigine – An anti-glutamate and anticonvulsant drug

Budipine

Gabapentin

Here is a novel idea: Avoid MSG, live long, live healthy and prosper.

All is not lost. All you need to do is take the equivalent of the antidote. if the supplement is not readily available, do not fret. Order the cysteine rich foods to get as much as you can. Start with coleslaw. Then work your way down the list of glutathione boosting foods.

There are several facets of proper nutrition for Athletes.

Proper nutrition involves what the body is nourished with, when it is nourished, how you nourish, and why. Another lesser considered aspect is what foods to be avoided.

Daily nutritional needs are remarkably similar to non-athletes needs. There are new fads and supplements released weekly. They come complete with the latest scientific studies that say they are the next best thing to do.

One constant truth is that proper nutrition is essential for optimal athletic performance.

When considering what you should take in, also consider what you should be avoiding.

Proper nutrition includes what you take in, when you eat it and what you avoid.

Why Fluoride Should be Avoided looks at the poison in our water.

MSG, BHA are two more toxins we need to avoid.

Incidentally, if your considering boosting your glutathione, it has been shown to be the antidote to many of the toxic substances we take in. Not only that, two studies show an increase in strength and endurance.

I am still working on this. Want the information sooner, just contact me through GlutathioneDiseaseCure.com

Good health to you.

Food is a foreign substance we need to sustain life. However the various chemicals known as food additives or preservatives, in the food are not necessary for anything more than shelf life.

Which brings me to one of my favorite theories. Twinkies have so many preservatives in them that they have a shelf life of 7 years. So you could eat enough of them and be filled with preservatives. Then theoretically speaking, you could be preserved alive even though you die.

After all, we are what we eat?

Unfortunately my theory does not hold up to science. The more foreign the more toxic.

If we gave the life time accumulation of toxins to our pet lab mice that we eat, we would be thrown in jail for animal abuse. What are the culprit chemicals.

Foreign Substances in our Foreign Substances

Here is a partial list with some of the research. It may be expensive to eat natural, but the studies show the alternatives. What are the health risks of food preservatives?

MSG
Associated with obesity.

Associated with diabetes and nerve changes.

MSG depletes Glutathione (no surprise here). Conversely, boosting GSH either by NAC or Cysteine is effectively the antidote to MSG.

Yes, it can induce an asthma attack in some.

BHA / BHT
Pro BHT

I have written on this before….

Other sites link it to successful treating of herpes. However there is some evidence that it can cause liver or kidney damage if you feed amounts equivalent to, oh, I don’t know, maybe 50 lifetimes worth.

This one you will have to make up your mind based on all the evidence. When more becomes available it will be posted.

disodium inosinate
FD&C dyes
nitrites/nitrates
parabens
polysorbate
sodium benzoate
tartrazine
Adverse reactions to additives.
